This weekend was the CKC Riverside Expo, it was such FUN and an incredible opportunity to grow my very own slice of the scrapbooking industry. The expo platform amazes me as sooo many thousands of short tons of embellies, pounds of paper, stamps, glue and other sparkly fun comes together in one giant room. The crowd watching is a fun part for me... I think its my medical background that inspires me to watch people, the way they walk, they way thier skin looks, or how swollen one ankle is vs. the other.. it says alot. ( no I dont have a therapy appointment scheduled, Im supposed to be observant as a medical person!) Anyway crowd watching is fun and exciting to see the eyes come alive as a piece of artwork comes alive to another person, they find inspiration in your sample pages or other pieces.. its exciting and motivating as a creative person. So many colors, the smell of glue and paper is powerful to a true paper-crafter.... it creates an own energy in the room in a sea of ribbons and bling!vgtbh7myu
I found some of my very own inspiration in the chaos of this expo experience! I found that other business owners are kind in the moments when it really counts to another smaller business owner, I found countless samples of 12x12 LOs to snap photos of to scraplift later with my own flair, I found the most beautiful techinique of stained glass windows using embossing powder, reinker, stamping, liquid glass and clear window film... I will be sure to post my version on my blog & on my website as soon as its finished.
