a New Day....
WOW Amazing to me how so many days have blown by barely without recognition, with out a jot of a note or a flick of my camera's lens. Thanksgiving 2010.... what will the holiday season be filled with? Traditions of yester year ( I hope so), new rituals as we continue to discover the luster of the central coast, new friends, old friends.... we will see.. Im looking forward to the next few months as we transition into the holiday season

Fill your day....
Okay do it's Tuesday but it feels like a dreaded Monday. I was slow to arise before the morning light. As we settle into living in California you learn to expect some of the unexpected earthquakes. This morning we had an earthquake just a few miles from my home. Funny thing I didn't feel a thing. So another unexpected turn of events the beauty of our rose garden. The unexpected yet simple beauty of our rose garden lifted my spirits this morning. Inspiration is all around.

Inspiration in Solvang California
So have you ever been caught by surprise? Today we enjoyed a family outing in Solvang California; it's a Dutch/German town bustling with old world charm, colors capturing every emotion and of course old world charm some true, some actually new made to look old. For those that know me best you know I love old world-traditional charm. We spent the day wandering back down memory lane as we fingered the merchandise from shop to shop. I found inspiration in the colors, textures and groupings of delightful objects. The colors of the new Idea book are spectacular 8 new shades of color in the summer collection, the peacock swirls and dimesion of the blues in "Magnifique" are brillient and calming. WOW so much FUN and flexibility to grow my own business!
This weekend was the CKC Riverside Expo, it was such FUN and an incredible opportunity to grow my very own slice of the scrapbooking industry. The expo platform amazes me as sooo many thousands of short tons of embellies, pounds of paper, stamps, glue and other sparkly fun comes together in one giant room. The crowd watching is a fun part for me... I think its my medical background that inspires me to watch people, the way they walk, they way thier skin looks, or how swollen one ankle is vs. the other.. it says alot. ( no I dont have a therapy appointment scheduled, Im supposed to be observant as a medical person!) Anyway crowd watching is fun and exciting to see the eyes come alive as a piece of artwork comes alive to another person, they find inspiration in your sample pages or other pieces.. its exciting and motivating as a creative person. So many colors, the smell of glue and paper is powerful to a true paper-crafter.... it creates an own energy in the room in a sea of ribbons and bling!vgtbh7myu
I found some of my very own inspiration in the chaos of this expo experience! I found that other business owners are kind in the moments when it really counts to another smaller business owner, I found countless samples of 12x12 LOs to snap photos of to scraplift later with my own flair, I found the most beautiful techinique of stained glass windows using embossing powder, reinker, stamping, liquid glass and clear window film... I will be sure to post my version on my blog & on my website as soon as its finished.
As many of you know I am working towards growing my team.. if you have thought about wanting to own your own piece of the scrapbooking industry and would love to get PAID to scrapbook then please log into website craftgirldawn.myctmh.com and complete an application/ Join my team!. cutest ever tax deduction I have ever had
Okay so that must seem funny...but yes I got the cutest tax deduction today in the form of an acer notebook mini-computer... only wish I could have it at work all day to enhance the day. Iam hoping that this little cutie will decrease some of my frustration with my current laptop iron horse, sure she is still working but boggy and slow even with the added memory.....just maxed out as the tech guys say. so me and cutie pie are going to hopefully travel and blog more all summer as our adventures grow our CTMH business and work on PME in fancy california coffee shops looking for other two legged cuties :) happy tax deduction hunting

do you LUV "Glimmer Mist" and the effect it gives you?
Required Supplies:
Travel/ Spray bottle
Reinker any of the 60 CTMH colors will do
Rubbing/Isopropal Alcohol or water ( but it takes longer for the water to dry)
Create-a-Shade paint
Directions:
I add a few cap fulls of rubbing alcohol to the travel bottle, a drop of reinker choice of 60 colors, a drop or two of the create-a-shade and mix/shake. I test and add reinker and create-a-shade until I get the desired color, glimmer shine I am looking for.

B & T paper ( Level 2 paper pack 12.95) figuring it costs about .58 per piece of paper that is $1.75 that is a grand total of $14.65 lets throw in some cost for the other supplies used, left over buttons, glue, dabs of fun flock & liquid glass and some ric rac ribbon & waxy flax as details. I doubt I used $5 in misc supplies... bringing by total to under $20 for a great gift that can be created to fit any occasion, baby, wedding, prom or school daze! Save the memorbelia and photos in one versatile gift that can be maximized two ways!

CTMH pays for all hostess rewards for gatherings (2 or more customers and $150+ in orders equals a gathering). Consultants then receive a 22% base commission off all commissionable/customer orders. And based upon your monthly sales, you receive an additional override commission from the company each month.

Kit of the Month Club now beginning in Orcutt~ Santa Maria
The new crop room will be having its open house FREE CROP on 27 Feb at 3 pm drop by to pick up a new catalog, sign up for our Kit of the Month Club with Round Robin Hostess Connection or just drop by to say hey welcome to the neighborhood!
Beginning in March I will host a Kit of the MonthDuring our FREE Monthly crop! You can sign up to be a hostess for one of the months and then decide if you will pre-purchase the Basic or Best option for the kit of the month workshop. There will be a minimum requirement to purchase at least the basic workshop on the go designated kit, the average cost for the Basic Kit is $30 dollars the average cost for the Best Kit option is $45. I am looking for a minmum of 5 croppers to join this club so that the round robin hostess benefits can beasily rotated and consistently earn a minimum requirement of $150 to earn $25 in FREE product! (there will be a letter of agreement for the kit of the month club, to ensure that all potential hostesses will have a fair and equitable opportunity) Come to the open house to sign up for the month you want to host at my regular FREE monthly crop, seriously is there an easier way to host a party at somebody elses home :) Call or email me for more information at

Exciting news from the wild wild west....
Okay well perhaps not that exciting or even that wild for the west! BUT I will freely admit that moving x-country will change your perspective on a few things in life. As many of you know my family and I just completed our treck from warm and wonderful San Antonio, Texas to sunny California where the cows really are happier! The proof is in the creamiest ice cream from the local farmers, the brightest strawberries and the greenest rolling hills, only to be topped by the coldest pacific water. California is full of pleasant surprises and it is not all filled with glitterly gold, bright lights and movie stars... we moved to the one of the prettiest country sides on the coast. It is truly a small country town full of welcome mats and good ol' new friends, it really reminds me of the Midwest culture with the look of New England. Orcutt is a comfortable little village of old west buildings. I believe that you could really only get it if you visited here.
So I bet you are wondering why is Dawn bloggin, well I really wat to stay in touch with my friends & family and to share some great scrapbooking ideas with you coast to coast as my business is expanding and my motivation to recapture balance and success is soaring leaps and bounds with all of this fresh ocean air swirling about. So Ill be blogging from time to time and I hope you will follow me
